Follow Your Dreams
and Never Give Up!

Five years ago I was sent home from hospital to die. I had an "incurable" illness and after five successive operations left me with a perforated bowel there seemed to be no hope for a cure. Today I have greater energy levels, happiness, and health than I ever have imagined. This is my story.
Transformation
I trained as an Art and Craft Teacher and taught art until I had my four children. I have always found art to be a meditative experience and worked intuitively, just starting to sculpt or paint without any real idea of what I would finally produce.
In the 1980's I became interested in personal growth and alternative healing and studied Yoga and Reiki and began to make Anaheart Flower Remedies and to teach Reiki. My whole attitude to life and understanding of myself began to change.
Angel Paintings
One night about fifteen years ago, I was experimenting with watercolours. I went into a meditative state, and to my great surprise I produced two incredible energetic paintings of Angels. The Angels came to me as I must have had the abilities they needed. They wanted me to paint them. I then began to paint Angels digitally, although I had no previous experience in digital art. I realized that the form of the painting is not as important as the interplay of the colours and the energies they represent and the feelings the paintings engender. The paintings are a form of wordless communication that speaks to us on a soul level of "Remembrance."
Angelic Guidance
In April 2000 My daughter, who has a very close relationship with her Angels, began to put pressure on me to make some Angelic Guidance Cards. I finally went in to type some single words for the back of these cards and the ideas from the Angels flowed so quickly that my poor typing skills could hardly keep up. I then put the words and pictures together; but after printing out the first copy which I gave to my daughter, the cards flatly refused to print at all. I felt that this was the Angel's way of telling me that there was more for me to do. I had a niggling feeling inside, that I did not want to acknowledge, that the Angels wanted me to do phrases. I didn't want to do phrases, I don't particularly like writing, I would much prefer to paint, and I didn't feel that I had any phrases in me. I sat at my computer with no ideas at all. I looked at the single words that I had written previously and suddenly phrases began to tumble out. Again I could hardly keep up. The phrases became longer and more profound and even poetic. Soon I was madly typing with tears rolling down my face, and when I could no longer keep up, I stopped and said "this won't fit on the back of the cards!" A heavenly voice filled with the joyful lilt of laughter said to me in my head "It's A Book!" I was in shock, I didn't even want to write a book but that day. Many new paintings came later and the occasional message followed. These paintings together with the words of wisdom from the Angels became the book Sacred Wisdom. Several months later I was guided to include Flower Remedies on each page that could be used to support the Angelic guidance, and surprisingly, I intuitively knew which remedies were correct. There were however several pages left without remedies. Many months later I made some new remedies and surprisingly, these were the remedies the blank pages were waiting for.
I hand print and publish Sacred Wisdom myself. Many healers use it as a tool to select appropriate remedies or just to amplify their healing. The book seems to speak to the heart, every page has an Angel on it and words of wisdom that also speaks to the heart.
Remembrance of Spirit
Many of us have lost our way; we have forgotten who we really are and why we are here. Many who experience the Angel Paintings find they give them a sense of peace and deep comfort. They are particularly helpful for those in pain, deep fear, and despair. They remind us that we are Spirit. We are not human beings having spiritual experiences. We are Spirits who have chosen to have a human experience, but most of us have forgotten this.
Surviving Devastating Illness
I had struggled with Crohns Disease for many years and had managed it with Reiki, Yoga and Flower Remedies and healing from the Angels until it flared up in 2002. I underwent Bowel Surgery with devastating consequences. After five unsuccessful operations, all of them leaving me with a perforated bowel, and nine months in Hospital, I was sent home with no hope of recovery. I never lost faith, hundreds of people from churches, yoga ashram's and friends and family sent me healing and I could feel its effects. I could feel the Angels with me, helping me to stay positive in the midst of incredible pain and suffering. Miraculously we eventually were given the name of a wonderful surgeon who had the necessary skills to repair the damage to my bowel, one year, one month and one day after my first operation.
Living Without Limit!
Now I look at life differently. Serious illness shows you irrevocably what is important in life. When you face the prospect of your own death it becomes clear that what you have achieved in life is important. It is however the regret you feel about the things you really wanted to do but didn't that is more important. I now live life to the full. I don't put things off because I think I might fail, or for any other reason. I have followed my dream to paint big Angels and have recently acquired a large format printer and can now print the Angels 44inch wide on heavyweight paper or canvas! I am strong enough and fit enough now that I am able to stretch the canvas onto the stretcher frames myself, even the very large ones! I feel younger and healthier than ever before and I have incredible energy, often painting for most of the night and able to work all day! Not bad for someone who was sent home to die five years ago! I have opened the Sanctuary Angel Gallery and Healing Centre in Frankston where I held my first exhibition "Walking with Angels" last December. The best advice I could give to anyone would be "follow your dreams and never give up, and when in doubt, ask your Angels for help!"
Ask for Help When You Need It!
If you feel fearful and unsure, remember to ask your Angels for help, they are ever with you ready and waiting to help you on your Life's Journey. The Law of Free Will however, deems it is usually necessary that you ask for and accept their help, before they request. Be aware that your Angels, usually two, sometimes more, usually remain with you throughout your entire lifetime and work together with your spirit guides to guide and protect you. Remember to ask for help when you need it. They love you with a deep and abiding Love so strong that we on Earth can hardly imagine it.
Co-creating with Spirit
All of the Anaheart creations have been co-created with the Angels. I look at the paintings in absolute wonder sometimes and think "How did I do that?" The answer to that question is that I had BIG HELP! I am in absolute gratitude for the gifts that have been bestowed on me, even the gift of devastating illness that took me to places that I would never have chosen to go. I feel that it was necessary to have this experience in order to totally fulfill my life's goal. I no longer fear death, I know that I will be merely be going Home, and for me it will be a celebration. I now treasure each moment of the wondrous experience of life on Earth and try to have as much fun as it is humanly possible to have. Incidentally Angels have a great sense of humour and fun, you don't have to be Good to receive their blessings.
Compassion, Understanding and Relief of Suffering
My illness gave me insights into great suffering and it is my greatest wish to help all those who suffer. That is the driving force behind the Anaheart creations, to help all to find the peace and happiness that resides within us all, meaning and fulfillment in life; and help to relieve all the various forms of suffering.
Angel Art Heals
My experiences in hospital showed me the real power of inspirational angel art to heal and uplift the body, mind and spirit and I realized that since the beginning of time art has had a spiritual significance and was often thought to have magical properties. Quantum physics explains that we are all pure energy vibrating at different rates, and many medical scientists have documented that both thoughts and feelings have an enormous effect on our overall wellbeing. They are recognising that inspirational art and music have therapeutic effects.
Uplifting the Environment with Angel Art
Many palliative Care hospitals have Music Therapy departments but unfortunately the artwork in many health care environments is chosen with little thought for its intrinsic inspirational and therapeutic benefits. I personally experienced this in my extended Hospital stay when I was too weak to read, too sensitive to watch TV and unable to eat. I was virtually "tied to a bed" with little stimulation except pain. I had some of my Angel paintings brought from home and hung over the "beige" hospital paintings. The simple presence of the angel paintings helped me to tune into the Angelic vibration even in a difficult environment. I could go into the Angel paintings and feel the Love they exuded. They were a continuing reminder to me that I was not just this ravaged, suffering body. The paintings connected and uplifted me and my spirits and helped me to transcend the pain. They gave me a sense of peace and acceptance and helped me to stay positive. I now understand the importance of life giving, nurturing, inspirational images in challenging environments such as hospitals and aged care centres.
Angel Art as a Design Feature in Healing Environments
It has become my mission to help to educate designers, architects and the committees who create healing environments to use Angel art in a therapeutic way to support healing, and to encourage healers to use them in their practices.
My paintings now hang in the healing rooms of many health professionals and the results have been extraordinary, they seem to enhance the healing experience for both the healer and client. Just sitting with the Angel paintings is a deeply meditative and healing experience.
